What is the source of the video - what format, etc?

when you tried, what settings did you use - container, video codec, audio codec, etc?

The source video format has to consider? I just know that I take a video as source, that video can be play by VLC. I think that the video can be play by VLC that video should be converted to other format. If there are some limits, please tell me. Thank you.

I tried settings as following…
A.
Encapsulation Method=MPEG TS
vcodec=wmv1
vb=256
scale=1
B.
Encapsulation Method=MPEG TS
vcodec=wmv2
vb=256
scale=1
C.
Encapsulation Method=MPEG PS
vcodec=wmv1
vb=256
scale=1
D.
Encapsulation Method=MPEG PS
vcodec=wmv2
vb=256
scale=1
E.
Encapsulation Method=MPEG 1
vcodec=wmv1
vb=256
scale=1
F.
Encapsulation Method=MPEG 1
vcodec=wmv2
vb=256
scale=1
G.
Encapsulation Method=Ogg
vcodec=wmv1
vb=256
scale=1
H.
Encapsulation Method= Ogg
vcodec=wmv2
vb=256
scale=1
I.
Encapsulation Method=ASF
vcodec=wmv1
vb=256
scale=1
J.
Encapsulation Method= ASF
vcodec=wmv2
vb=256
scale=1

If you had converted a video to WMV, please teach me. Thank you very much.
