Variable and constant Bitrate (please help)

Hi everybody,

does the VLC support only variable Bitrate streaming, or does it support constant Bitrate streaming too.

please reply if you have an answer.

It supports mostly variable bitrate streaming. This is because ffmpeg the library that VLC uses for this, isn't very good at cbr streaming. it will always fluctuate a bit. (see the abit and vbit options of the streaming output. check the documentation.)
