Streaming over the internet Query

Postby rishidhar » 18 Mar 2007 01:24

Hi,

Ok i know how to stream in unicast over http and mmsh. I am able to do it. Now when i do that my bandwidth gets used, now i have a SSH tunnel and a socks proxy which is connected to another computer on my lan network which has unlimited bandwidth , so basically when i use the proxy i use the internet of the computer i am connected to via the tunnel. Can i tunnel VLC through that proxy so that when i broadcast so that my bandwidth doesnt get used but the bandwidth of the computer i am connecting to gets used. I cannot setup vlc on that computer so my only hope is a proxiing VLC though the tunnel. Is it possible? because whenever anyone connects to my computer (using my ip address) my bandwidth gets used even if i configure the proxy in VLC settings
