problem in Command line vedio playing

problem in Command line vedio playing

hi All,

I am a new to this.This is my first question i send u.
please kind enough to help me.

i execute the bellow command in command prompt
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC>vlc F:\film\Office.mpeg
but not play that file but if i play that by using menu it play properlly

but if i play .avi file in command prompt then that also play nicely
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC>vlc test.avi

wt the reason for that.

please help me to success in this
any kind of help is highly appriciate

Do you get an error message?
Go to View -> Messages to check the logs.

It's a Windows issue for long filenames.

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\"vlc F:\film\Office.mpeg

or

c:\progra~1\videolan\vlc\vlc f:\film\Office.mpeg
