Windows vista x64No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "WVC1". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
Thank you for looking into this! You are correct. VLC doesn't open WVC1 fourcc from .m2ts files. Trac ticket opened.

VLC 1.0.0 plays those files.VLC can play WVC1 video streams but it just can't play them from a M2TS container for some reason.
I guess the splitter is the faulty part and needs to be updated.
VLC also doesn't even detect the presence of DTS-MA (HD) audio streams but only the AC3 one.
FYI MPlayer and MPC-HC are now able to play such files so the source code for both the splitter and DTS HD is available.
A sample with WVC1 + AC3 + DTS-MA in a M2TS container can be downloaded from here:

MPlayer, MPC-HC and Ffdshow can now play DTS-MA HD and MLP True HD audio, so the code is availableexcept lack of support of DTS-MA, of course
No, they can't decode DTS-MA HD.MPlayer, MPC-HC and Ffdshow can now play DTS-MA HD and MLP True HD audio, so the code is availableexcept lack of support of DTS-MA, of course

VLC can't play my MLP files. And VLC can decode TrueHD audio too.
Yes, true, but at least they can play these DTS streams whilst VLC 0.9.8a can't for now. They read the core DTS inside the DTS-MA, as VLC.
Waiting for the nighties server to be back online...Most MLP files work too with 1.0.
