I believe that VLC already has a notification to let you quickly switch to it while playing, if that is what you are looking for.

We also have a homescreen widget that you can use to control audio playback.

Hi i have a Galaxy Note II on Sprint (SPH-L900, Exynos 4412 Quad) - which nightly build should I use? Thanks!
The ARMv7 build: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/arm ... -debug.apk
Samsung Galaxy Note II (CDMA) - Carrier: Sprint | Model: SPH-L900
Chipset Exynos 4412 Quad
CPU Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9
GPU Mali-400MP4
I have the same machine, but I'm getting a no permission forbidden message from the server at this link.

In addition I would like to test on these other devices:

Galaxy Note 10.1

Galaxy S III

MK808B dongle for TV
Dual core RK3066
Cortex A-9
Android 4.1.1

Thanks,
AARON

Been using VLC on my Samsung Galaxy Tab (GT-P5113) I'm using VLC for Android rev.191d4c9 (2013-03-18)

VLC sometimes crashes, I don't know if this might be related to the Video screen timeout setting of my GT-P5113
the sound will remain playing, while the video screen goes blank. A hard reset/cool boot is the only recourse.

VLC does a great job cataloging my videos. I would like to see an option added to the preferences tab:

Please Highlight the title of the last played video in the directory structure. It makes it easier to see differentiate between number titled videos, and which to watch next.

Performance has been improved in new nightly build http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/arm ... 2-0115.apk Tested in many videos. Keep on improving. Gesture and thumbnail creating should be improved.

I do not yet have a tablet. I would like to get a tablet that allows viewing many video capsule formats over wifi that are resident on my home windows network computers. I have been unsuccessful in scouring forums discovering such capability. What advice can this forum give me on my desire to view videos resident in my home network?

I downloaded the iphone VLC app from cydia, but it doesn't have network browse capability.
