C) Co-ordinate positioning:

00:00:15,000 --> 00:00:17,000
{\pos(128,035)}Text example

Also the ability for overlapping subtitles. (For example, one or more lines of subs may be at the top of the screen, and another line/s at the bottom, at the same time, and they may be of different colors; Or one sub line may be on one side of the screen, attributed to one character, and another sub in a custom position on the screen, attributed to another character. Occurring at the same time, the position or coordinates giving the ability to separate them in spatially, whilst occurring at the same time.)

I could find no Android player that supports these features within the SRT specification, in fact most have a very simple support for SRT. Every Android player forces the subs into a user specified location, set inside that app's settings.

However MPC on PC allows for the subtitle SRT file to define its own text colour, text location, font size, italics and so forth....
Which means that the player does not interfere with the user's specific subtitle placement or further commands, which he decided within the subtitle file.

SSA/ASS subtitles are not useful due to their timing inaccuracy, in comparison to SRT's millisecond accuracy.

This is a list of the things a player with good SRT support should be able to handle: http://www.ale5000.altervista.org/subtitles.htm
With testing resources right underneath the table.

Hello,

VLC supports already all the official SRT spec and the an tags. If you want full SSA support, use SSA. Also, the pixel based positionning is stupid, and should never be supported.

As for the page from ale5000, it is very old and outdated.
