dvd play back is pixelated and choppy

Postby clg86 » 08 Aug 2009 07:07

Hi i dont know all of the techno jargon so please respoond in simple terms. i have downloaded vlc, it played something i had downloaded but it wont play dvd's. the playback is pixelated and broken, both audio and visual. you can just about make out what is being said but cannot see anything but pixelation. the dvd is region 4, when i tried to play it via windows media player it said the player was region 1 and cannot be changed. I am usng a dell laptop which uses windows xp. it is refurbished.

thanks

Hi,
Do you have Windows Media Player 11 installed? If not, please get it from Microsoft.com and install it. Should work afterwards.
