Skin is now included in VLC trunk and in the 0.8.5 branch. We're almost ready to release 0.8.5 :)

What exactly do you mean with "black box", I have no black box when resizing the skin. Do you use the latest nightly build?
thats a "bug" with how VLC resizes the video... sometimes it will resize it but a "black box" will appear infront of the video. it's been like that ever since i can remember (well for me atleast when i was workin on my MediaPlayer skin on more than 2 systems with Windows... havent tried it on Suse cuz just too many damn missing things to install it for me :p)

but a way to work around this is: if u make ur video full-screen and then resize it back to small.. itll show up fine.

anyways... nice skin ;)

about time the default one is changed.

I don't know if it is just the skin or vlc which uses more ressources than before. It uses even more than the windows media player does.
VLC was known as using less ressources, but now it has doubled.

Sometimes in the time font, but only when I'm stop the film or audio.
I have Windows XP

EDIT: I think I have found the problem. I used the high-qualitiv audio-resampling.

Found a bug: When I'm playing a file in the playlist wich has a unicode word like the german "ä ö or ü" a message window appear and i can't play that file. (nothing inside the message)
But when I'm open that file seperate , it has no problem with that.
My first idea was, that the font does not support ist, but that is not correct.

I think you experience this problem when loading a playlist file, dont you?
I found out that VLC only supports Unicode Playlist Fully. When I loaded a Winamp generated Playlist which is ASCII several items couldnt be played because of special chars.

Exactly, is there a possibility to solve that problem?

The skin is too small for HDTV resolution.

i have searched but is there a skin for vlc similar, or as simplistic as media player classic? the wxwidgets skin is almost perfect and i would definitely settle for it but theres the inaccurate seeking problem :(

There is no such skin at the moment, but feel free to create one :)
BTW, if you like the winamp2 skins, you might find one that looks like MPC...

I've made an improvement suggestion here, but apparantly this is the topic to do it in.
To summarize : could the new skin, be a more integrated one ?
It seemd more practical to me, than the settings of the current one, so ... prove me wrong :?: :!:
