Hello all,
i have some problems with playing .MKV files.
I posted this subject on another forum yet they were unable to help me there. heres the topic:

http://forum.inmatrix.com/index.php?showtopic=5487

did anyone experience this problem before?
i kinda tried everything,

the files i try to play are clean, not corrupted and yet VLC is able to play .MKV samples but i recommend reading the topic above.

All the torrents I can find for these 30 eps are in AVI and all of them hover about 4.4 gig.

Ah! finally found it. I will look.

VLC is not a Direct Show player, it uses its own libraries to decode media files and Windows codecs will not effect it.

Considering both WMP and VLC are having problems with this (assuming that the windows codecs are installed) suggests problems with the files.

Are you experiencing problems with other files or formats?

VLC is not a Direct Show player. I'm still running the down load but haven't had the time to run it consistently from my last post and at this time it is only 16% complete.

Here's a clean mkv you can test with to see for sure if it's just the media file you're trying to play or there is something wrong with your install of VLC itself.
