cant convert real media .RM/.RAM file to .MP4

I've tried to convert a 60MB real media .RM/.RAM file to .MP4

The audio always converts ok but the video doesnt convert at all. Ive tried profiles H.264 + MP3 (MP4) and H.265 + MP3 (MP4).

Its worth noting that I was able to convert it to a .TS file using profile H.264 + MP3 (TS), and the video did convert! BUT the file size was about 200MB size. When I used convertio.com to convert it for me online as an MP4, it worked well with a file size of about 114MB.

Is it me or is it VLC ???

So to sum it up, when you play this file with VLC you can see the video. When you convert it to TS it works but it doesn't work when you convert it to MP4.
Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the conversion, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.

The file size depends on the settings of the encoder.

Muxing these formats to MP4 should work, I don't understand why it fails in this case.

TS supports dynamic tracks, whereas MP4 does not. That is the most likely reason why MP4 fails while TS succeeds.

I could convert this file without any problem. But this one is RV10 video + AC-3 audio whilst your messages log shows a file with RV20 video + Cook audio.

Good point. I verified the original video is RV20 + Cook audio.
When I used clideo.com to cut a short 15 sec segment, the resulting file shows that It was changed to RV10 video + dnet audio.

So this site converted the video, it's not a binary cut. For doing so, cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:

200 MB max should be enough but a full complete short file is better.

Only the first chunk came out, the rest were full of errors using DGsplit.
So here is the one chunk I got, 2MB. The video is RV20 + Cook audio.

I could reproduce the issue with this sample, the video was not converted and I got an audio only file.
That said, VLC seems to struggle to play this file while other players don't have such problems.
