I believe that was covered too! One of the devs decided to make a change in Windows only!

I'm sure it was done just to make problems for people to ask questions about. :P

I think that's what I said. :? This isn't a bug, It's a known issue with an easy resolve. Exists only in the Windows version for VLC 0.8.5 :)
okey but why doesn't vlc select it buy defult? 0.8.2 did.

The default for the Latin 1 character set (ISO-8859-1) in Windows should never have been changed. It wasn't for the Mac version. The system was expanded for 0.8.5 to handle more languages, but there are still problems with Hebrew and Arabic. :) Even this according to a few users is resolvable by us...

enyone shall i onley select the encoding and then restart VLC? after that everything shall works fine? and btw why is the sub works in 0.8.2 and not in 0.8.5 as defult im using swedish char and they are standard 4 all europe like england and so one.. in 0.8.2 it's uding it by defult but some error o...

It works with swedish subs if you select ISO-8859-1

[HELP] Subtitles error

I have a problem with the subtitles. I run a movie then klick add subtile (track 1) then the subtitle doesen't show. I wait 5 mins ohhh now it show one raw and nothing more then i wait 5 min and so on... what could the problem be? the subtitle lang is swedish. but the funny is it has worked before a...
