I just descovered this great player and find it much better than BSPlayer+MPC put together (and a lot faster) ;)
Have are my ;) :

1. Is there a way to make fonts smoother and autoplay subtitles if they are available? Some kind of AA or something?
2. How to asociate the player with avi and mpg files?
3. Can I get the seekbar in full screen just like WMP or BS Player?
4. How to make it remember that the window was maximised?
5. Can the volume bar be moved to some other location?

Tnx for any help :)

2. The easiest way is to reinstall VLC. (the self-extracting package)
This way you can choose the file type associations.

Another way:
Go to your *.avi file and right-click on it, select "Open with", then "Choose Program", if VLC is in the list select it, otherwise click the "Other"-Button, browse to vlc.exe and open it. Check "Always use this program to open these files". Now every *.avi file should be opened with VLC.

At last:
Start - Settings - Control Panel - Folder Options - File Types - select AVI - click on "Change" - browse to vlc.exe and open it.

3. Settings - Preferences - Interface - check "Show interface with mouse" - you have to move the mouse to the top of the screen while in fullscreen mode.

4. Settings - Preferences - Video - check "Fullscreen video output"

5. I guess no.

Always Save and restart.

Making subtitles fonts smoother: 0.8.5 is much better than 0.8.4 and we hope to make 0.8.6 1000 times better. You can set the default subtitle track to 0 instead of -1 in the prefs and it should enable them automatically.

What volume slider are you talking about ?

With this option the whole VLC interface pops out in the middle of the screen, and not only the seeakbar(that would be logical IMHO) :-/ :(
4. Settings - Preferences - Video - check "Fullscreen video output"
This starts every video file in fullscreeen. I just want the window to be maximised....

Tnx for your help ;)

If you want a basic interface in fullscreen mode change the embedding option for wxWidgets in Preferences, Interface, General, wxWidgets "Embed video in interface"

You may need to cerate a new shortcut with nothing after VLC.EXE IE no options.
