Pitch changing

Postby symphony1010 » 07 Jun 2012 21:09

I have created a wav file that plays perfectly acceptably in other players but mysteriously (and horribly) in VLC the pitch rises and falls over 5-10 second periods. I have never encountered such a problem before in other software. I have seen a few posts mentioning similar problems but no solutions. At the moment I can't use VLC due to this. Any suggestions gratefully received. I would just add that I have tried uninstalling the programme and deleting preferences/cache upon reinstalling to no avail. I will also try the file on a Mac and see if I encounter the same issue. I have also noted the problem on other files I didn't create - very strange.

Thanks! I tried the equaliser slection and my volume was on 100% anyway. I lowered this to 84% but the problem remains.
