Hello. I have a dual-monitor setup with Windows XP (actually, a laptop screen, and an LCD projector and screen, with Windows in Extended Desktop mode) and am using VLC 1.1.9 to display videos using the projector.
My method is to start VLC, open a video and pause it, drag it to the projector/screen, hit "F" to fullscreen it, then rewind the video (which starts with black) so that I can easily start the video at the right time by hitting <SPACE>.
This works just fine, except that when the video ends, fullscreen mode disappears, and the large screen is suddenly filled with the laptop's desktop wallpaper and the VLC player interface.
For a more professional look, I'd prefer VLC to stay in fullscreen mode at the end of the video and simply display either 1) a black screen or 2) the final frame of the video (which has usually faded to black), rather than have it jarringly return to non-fullscreen mode.
Can this be done?
Thanks to anyone who can help!
