DXSB codec problems

Postby j_kour » 13 Apr 2007 20:44

I have a movie in divx format and it comes with 4 subtitles. The movie plays fine (video/audio) but when I choose Video>video track>subtitle-1 this error comes:
main: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `DXSB'.
VLC probably does not support this sound or video format.

Any ideas how to fix it?

thx

Same problem...this worked for me:

go to http://www.divxsubtitles.net and find the movie you want (preferably the exact title and/or source). Download the SubRip format of the subtitle.

Then in VLC, go to Prefs > Video > Subtitles and manually add the subtitle file you downloaded. Then restart VLC. You have to remove it after your done with the movie, but it's a decent work-around.

DXSB subtitles are not decoded by VLC.
