VLC freezing my pc while playing mkv files

hi there! , i'm having trouble playing some mkv files , vlc it's freezing my pc randomly, sometimes i can play several files in a row , but sometimes just playing one totally freezes my pc , the files are all around 800mb, this are the specs of my pc

rtx2060
ryzen 2600x
16gb of ram

here are somethings i've tried but have not help with my problem

Installing the latest version of VLC Media Player
Disable Hardware acceleration decoding
Boosting File caching (to 1000ms)
Skipping the loop filter (Skip the loop filter for H.264 decoding to All.)

VLC doesn't crash, it just freezes my pc and have to reboot it

i really hope you can help me i love VLC , and don't want to change players , any help will be appreciated !!

If you're on Windows 10 hit Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B to reload your graphics drivers if the system freezes.
