[Solved] verify trustfulness of Vetinari 3.0.14 release

Hello,

I have suggestions to make the verification of the Vetinari 3.0.14 release easier.
Because of the high quality of VLC development, I never encountered the manual installation message that is present right now [1].
So I had my doubts if the Update ist authentic and wanted to verify that the release exists officially.

I found the mailinglist entry [2] and the website change [3] from different trustful authors. So I assume the release is really from the VLC developers.

I think some of the following points could be helpful to make verification easier:
.) create the release page for 3.0.14 like 3.0.13 [4].
.) Mention 3.0.14 in the videolan news [5].
.) Mention 3.0.14 in the git NEWS [6].
.) Maybe mention the manual update requirement on download pages [7, 8].

Bonus for less advanced users: maybe an explaination where to find the installation file, already answered in forumpost [9].

Thank you for your great work for so many years and still ongoing!

The manual installation requirement is there due to a bug in 3.0.12 which failed to update automatically to 3.0.13 even though the update downloaded successfully. That's been fixed in 3.0.14. More details here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/releases/3 ... pdate.html
