VLC Will Not Play Files with Long Character Name & Path

Postby Sparky383 » 19 Aug 2019 15:33

VLC will not play any files that are in a folder with a long path. For example, if a file is in a directory with multiple folders and has a long file and folder name (more than 100 characters), it will not play. Some other players will play the file.

Whoever ends up here from Google, this solution does not work. There are open bug requests to fix this for years already.
