Chromecast volume control from VLC while streaming

All other streaming applications provide possibility to control sound. VLC while casting to Chromecast doesn't allow it. The volume control in the cast mode seems to be broken. Of course people can steal control sound with a remote control if the have one or with another application, but it would be good to be able to do it from the VLC too.

I currently manage the volume by switching to Google Home to adjust the Chromecast volume level. It would be really great to be able to adjust the Chromecast volume from with the VLC application itself using the volume rocker switches on my Android devices.
