VLC Player working with a VPN?

Postby finnsdigg » 24 Nov 2017 16:18

Does VLC player work over a VPN? For e.g, If I use VLC to watch YouTube videos, will YouTube see my actual IP or my VPN provider's IP? I'm guessing it will be routed via VPN tunnel but interested to hear from someone who experienced it or anyone who knows?

Please I need urgent replies because I want to get a VPN black friday deal in next 24 hours, otherwise I this will end I will have to pay more.

It depends on the nature of the VPN, the nature of the stream and the configuration. For HTTP(S), it is definitely possible to use a VPN.
