I don't think this is Windows specific as I can't find any info how to show chapter markers on the timeline in VLC.
Yet 2 of my laptops (Win7+Win10) have this option working perfectly. I need it active on others laptops too.
Please can anyone assist?

It's automatic, you just need to hover the timeline with your mouse.
Of course, the file must contain chapters.
