The App Store should offer you an old version automatically when trying to download VLC on a device running iOS 6.1.

This is not my case.
I am running iOS 6.1 and search VLC on the AppStore.
I install it, and it says "This application requires iOS 7.0 or later."
What should I do to get VLC on this device?

I found this link https://get.videolan.org/vlc-iOS/.
I have tries to install all versions (ipa files using iTunes).
Version 2.7.x and 2.6.x says it requires iOs 7+.
Previous VLC versions try to install but finish with "itunes Sync Failed to install".
Keep on searching.
