CAD Now Playing
I'm aware that there was a plugin for this. It's outdated and will likely not be updated to work past 2.0.X. [https://code.google.com/p/vlc-libcad/] I would love to see CAD integration become official. VLC makes a great match for Rainmeter on Windows. I wouldn't want to make a move to another media player and leave VLC.

A way to announce to other applications the album art and other song metadata, as well as receive remote input.
