change default image display time

Postby downsjn » 12 Apr 2013 00:28

I've searched the forum and wiki and preferences in VLC but have not found a solution for modifying the length of time that images in the play list are displayed.

we run two instances of VLC (one for images, one for music) to present a slide show with music. The 10 second interval is long and it would be nice to be able to change the length of time images are displayed either in the preferences in the play list (perhaps with the ability to assign a standard or unique length of time for each image in the duration column in the play list).

Can the default image display time be modified easily in some script in the program file?

Thanks,

Mederi! thanks, the first link you provided is the ticket! WTF is a demuxer any way?
VLC menu: Tools > Preferences > ( Show settings = All ) > Input/Codecs \ Demuxers \ Image: Duration is seconds [10,00] < "Duration in seconds before simulating an end of file. A negative value means an unlimited play time."
Do not forget to save changes and reastart VLC!
