I am having the exact same issue. I can play/stream a video feed, and I can open another instance of VLC and successfully stream the audio feed.

When I try doing them both within the same VLC instance, the audio will not play.

Did you ever get a resolution for this?

Thanks.

Hi,
i was able to fix this using software called "iSpy" its an amazing open source master piece .

1- Download from http://www.ispyconnect.com/download.aspx
2- Make sure u have VLC installed on your PC
3- in iSpy Use "Add IP Camera" >> in Video Source window chose "VLC Plugin" >> As URL enter ur videofeed link >> then hit OK >> now you should see the video feed
4- Right click in your recently added Camera >> Edit >> little down in the window u will see "Microphone Section" use Add Microphone >> New >> chose "VLC plugin" tab again >>
this time For URL use the Audio link >> hit OK
5- Uncheck the alert options both in video and audio and also disable auto recording coz default is to record on motion detection or noise detection , you can enable them again later if u need
6- Form here you can record your camera Video/Audio as it should
7- DONE

hope that help

Thanks, I tried the ISPY app and that did the trick, per your instructions using the vlc plugin.
I was a little perplexed at first because I was not hearing audio, during the live feed, even though the MIC showed the
sound bar moving up and down. Then, I found the RIGHT-CLICK on the bottom of the view which had
the option for TURN LISTENING ON/OFF.

I also played with the settings and was able to get the audio and video working w/o using the VLC plugin option.
I chose the MJPEG and placed the url for the video feed there. I added the microphone and placed the audio url there.
For camera model, I selected IP CAM. I'm still exploring ISPY for various other options.

Thanks again for turning me on to this. Although, I so much wanted to get the VLC audio/video working together
as I wasted hours on this with no success. (I don't give up too easy when something that should work, fails to)

I am using an old (cyangenmod rooted) HTC android based phone running the IP CAM app on it for my camera.

Thanks.

I medomoo,
please can you tel me the model of your IP camera? I'm looking for an IP camera that can streams video and audio without specific ocx or activex.

Thank you.

Regards.

Marco
