Hi everybody here!First, try the scrobbling, If you can assure me it works on a CLEAN VLC install from latest NB, then I will look at the controls.
VLC's Audioscrobbler plugin is completely separate to the Last.fm Client - it is not needed to scrobble.By the way, should I leave the last.fm player on to use scrobbling? I'd like to shut off it..
Just tried it with a standard 128kbps MP3 file - the (correctly) given length was 2:46, however on submitting the output was:It doesn't work on what version ?
Code: Select all
audioscrobbler debug: Song too short (< 30s), not submitting
Code: Select all
audioscrobbler debug: Handshake successfull :)
audioscrobbler debug: Going to submit some data...
VLC 0.9.1 Grishenko. No error messages but doesn't scrobble at all...It doesn't work on what version ?
Does the files have to be of some type (like 128 or 320 ecc.)?Just tried it with a standard 128kbps MP3 file
Try with the latest nightly build:VLC 0.9.1 Grishenko. No error messages but doesn't scrobble at all...It doesn't work on what version ?
No it shouldn't. The reason I said standard 128kbps MP3 is since I have some 320kbps LAME 3.98 alpha build MP3 files where the track length is 00:00/varies randomly in VLC (a common bug in a few other players too). Providing the track is >30 seconds it should be fine.Does the files have to be of some type (like 128 or 320 ecc.)?Just tried it with a standard 128kbps MP3 file
^ Got there before meUSe 0.9.2-rc1
Code: Select all
audioscrobbler debug: Submission successful!
Can I ask, why you are NOT on my friends list on last.fm ?Awesome - it worksUSe 0.9.2-rc1:
Cheers, Arite.Code: Select all
audioscrobbler debug: Submission successful!
Too true. Done - I've added youCan I ask, why you are NOT on my friends list on last.fm ?
As there is NO libcddb support on windows, I doubt that for a CD it will work on windows.Sorry a last question: does scrobbling refer only to mp3s? Doesn't it read when I listen to a CD or other formats?
Yeah the with mp3s it works perfectly. With other formats didn't try yet. With audio CDs doesn't work. But I found it strange because the names of album and songs are there on VLC playlist when I play it.Well try scrobbling with a normal MP3 file to see if that works, then try an audio CD.
Arite.

@ j-b I don't know what is libcddb. Is it is a indicization tool for bringing the CD names?
