I would love to use 1.1.0 ! will wait for it & will posting !
amr has great future in near future due to its unique support among most of the mobile devices. Quality can be compromise if its over network-gprs,edge, etc !

This is so stupid. I bought a new HTC phone and I made some video clips with it. I cannot play them anywhere except on the phone. 
They are recorded MP4 but samr is used for the audio codec so WMP or VLC cannot play audio. Why would a phone manufacturer ship with this codec if its unplayable by anyone because of legal issues?

dont help !
Can you share the sample video file. If its samr, you can play it on windows vlc or realplayer. MPC with codec should also play it. There are thousands of media players in Windows ! Nokia Media player do support samr as Nokia phone create amr file recordings.
There is always way out with ffmpeg conversions ! Try it.

I used vlc-1.1.0-pre2-20100418-0202-win32.exe and I still get no sound. How do I attach a file? 760kb.

I would guess at least QuickTime and Real Player support AMR_WB.

Not without using libopencore_amrFFplay can play AMR-WB.
