Yes... step by step:
I subscribe to IpDirectTv dot com and keep their m3u on my desktop.
I open VLC with wx active and import the m3u.
I scroll down the playlist to their 5 available StarTrek feeds. I am able to view all 5 feeds with no problem.
Windows 2000/Thinkpad T22/256mg/Mobil PIII/800mhz
I switch to skins2 with WMP11 and all feeds now have small bubble like dots evenly spaced across the video (similar to the grid dots commonly used in GUI IDE's for layout of graphical controls). When I return to wx, the dots no longer appear.
Linux FC4/Thinkpad T23/512mg/Mobil PIII/1.2ghz
When I switch to WMP11 or Dalin (the only skins I've downloaded), I am able to hear all 5 StarTrek feeds, but video is not consistently available. When I select a feed that can't display the video, VLC reduces itself to the standard compact music player layout. Note that, video for all 230 IPDirectTv feeds works fine on Windows 2000, without bubble dots in wx or with bubble dots in skins2.
Obviously, since everything works fine in wx, this is not a huge problem for me. Skins2 is cool, but auite easy to live without.
Any idea what might be causing this odd behavior... the video drivers or graphics cards in Thinkpads maybe?
Thanks
