VLC no audio with DVDs

Postby Juan Pablo » 29 Dec 2006 23:48

I think the title is self explanatory
Here you have the console output

a52decoder: A/52 channels:2 samplerate:48000 bitrate:448000
main audio output error: couldn't find a filter for the conversion
main audio output error: couldn't set an input pipeline

Do I need to install something??

As you don't tell from what source you install VLC, we will have to stay in 'guess mode'.

Probably you compiled VLC without the libdca (formerly a52dec) activated.
libdca can be found at: http://developers.videolan.org/libdca.html
