V 0.8.6 Fullscreen Controls Do Not Appear.

Postby Grape Crusher » 13 Dec 2006 05:11

Running WinXP home, SP2
Longtime happy VLC user.

Just installed VLC 0.8.6

(A clean install, having uninstalled previous version and re-booted before installing the new version. During install I did click the "delete preferences and cache" option.)

I was eager to see the "improved fullscreen controls". But now I cannot see ANY controls in fullscreen.

I used to just click my mouse anywhere on the fullscreen display, and see the controls, or place my mouse at the top of the screen, and get a drop down controller. I do not get them anymore.

Are there preferences I need to select or deselect?

Please Help

Thanks

Preferences -> Interface "Show interface with mouse" but you may want to set the non-embedded mode for wxWidgets and make a new shortcut with no options after VLC.EXE

(Forgive the delayed response. For some reason I am not recieving eMail notification of replies.)

Thanks for the info.

It would have been nice to have that indicated in the release notes. Would have saved a lot of frustration.
