Playlist in Fullscreen

Is there a way I could have the playlist pop-up on top of the fullscreen video?

You can activate the "showintf" extra interface plugin in the preferences. Then (after restarting VLC probably) moving the mouse to the top of the screen shows the interface, when in fullscreen (the 'i' hotkey may be an alias as well).
But it shows all the interface windows iirc, not only the playlist one.
