video being BROADCASTed instead of MULTICASTing on unix??

Edit: seems that if you omit {ttl=x} block, you get default ttl of 0, which equals to a BROADCAST instead of MULTICAST. This is true even in case the server is connected to CISCO IGMP/CGMP routing switch.

Adding a ttl > 0 value fixes the problem.

RicOn, I try to organize multicasting too.
But my vlc 0.8.5 doesn't work correctly with udp. Maybe you can help me. Description of the problem is here viewtopic.php?t=2880
