VLC lags while Firefox loads

I have the issue that VLC starts to lag during video playback while a site in Firefox loads e.g.

Does somebody know how this issue is caused?
I've tried several things, but nothing helped.

Try increasing the priority of the process. Quite often running a big program will momentarily interfere with a Media Player. The extent of the interference is format and resolution dependent or how much CPU power the Media Player is using when you open a very large program.

On commandline/shortcut start with option: --high-priority. Or from the GUI you can go to Settings, Preferences, Advanced, there select increase priority of the process, Save and Close VLC & Restart.

yeah, i've already done that yesterday through the task manager and set priority to real time, then it worked.

this needs to be fixed not every will be as smart to come to the forums to check for a way to fix this
