I'm having the hardest time with this. I've tried a number of programs and setting and nothing seems to work.
I need a way of encoding h.264 for use with VLM and playback on both VLC and an Amino 124 STB.
Dependiong on the software and settings I get any combination of the following:
1. no video VLC
2. no audio VLC
3. bad audio VLC
4. bad video VLC
5. no video 124
6. no audio 124
7 bad audio 124
8 bad video 124
I can't seem to get good audio and video to happen on both.
The colest is got was transcoding using VLC. This gave me good audio but the video looked as though the interlacing was reversed plus it encoded only in realtime.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a software-based encoder that produces usable aduio and video for my configuration?
Thanks for any input.

I know that my question is a bit off topic, but I am sort of desperate.
I have got an AMINO 124 STB. I am trying to set up a streaming server and use the STB to view various A/V content (live TV broadcast, on-demand video, etc.). I have never seen an STB before, and I do not know how these things work. When I turned on the STB, it seemed to be running some sort of a web browser (ANT Fresco). I managed to hook up the STB to the Internet and view the manufacturer's home page, for example. However, I do not know how to view a movie. My first idea was to enter a RTSP link into the browser, but I wasn't able to write any letters using the remote control. Whatever I do, only numbers appear.
The only documentation I have got is the very basic user's manual that came with the STB. I visited the support page of AMINO only to find out that I had to register and wait until my registration got approved by hand!
Please, tell me how to enter an RTSP link or whatever else I need to do.
