No Sound with Direct Show on PlayTV@P7000

I am using MCE with a Pixel view PlayTV@P7000 (a hardware conexant chipset based capture card much like a Hauppage 150)

I am using video in on this card (from a satellite reciever). It all works fine on MCE and indeed I can use MCE at the same time as VLC - which is not true of windows media server 9.

The problem is sound. I cannot get sound working and indeed this is true with windows media server too. I think the problem is in the Direct Show advanced options tab where the input and output pins are selected and I cannot find anything in the documantation about this.

If I look at the stats when playing to an output window as well as streaming I get sound decoded but nothing actually output.

Any Ideas?

maybe you can posting the debug message in here, so all people in here maybe know what the problem is

I am using the windows version. Where do I find the debug message.

I get the feeling now that its something wrong with the mpeg stream from the conexant chipset as controlled by direct show. Ihave had problems with non-compliant files before

I forgot to mention that I get no sound when just playing a direct show input on my system either. I do get sound from files recorded by the same device.
