Random Subtitles

Postby God of War » 29 Aug 2006 04:25

VLC is great for playing DVD's on my hard drive, but it does have some quirky issues. Like with subtitles. When I am playing a dvd and want to enable the subtitle, I right click on the screen and get a list of available subtitles.

Problem is, the list of subtitle option appears to be randomly generated each time VLC loads. I click for english subtitles and it plays the french ones. This leaves me with no idea what I will get when I click on a subtitle. In the gladiator dvd there are no less the 16 subtitle options of which only a few actually play anything and they seem to be randomized at that. Can you fix this?

This is a bug when one or more of the tracks on the DVD does not specify it's language. It's a known issue with certain DVDs, but not very high on the priority list.
