... and i have got a lot of trouble. It doesnt play HD video in x264.
i still got trouble to play movie in x264 HD (720/30p) (with 0.8.5) vlc crash and drop too many frames. I wish in newest version you can fixed that.

I changed a lot of stuff for H264 recently. All valid files should now play, but some broken ones may no longer play.

I just send in the folder incomming of your server a sample of Star Wars III in HD and add a txt file with the trouble.

80x33 is the aspect ratio, wheras according to the specification it should be the display framesize. Since interpreting it differently doesn't really matter to VLC, I have changed this to accept the broken files. A new nightly build (tomorrow) should no longer have the problem.

BTW. the Brothers Grimm sample is so CPU intensive it won't even run on my dual G5. Don't expect to much.

I understand. This sample are broken but they work great on 0.8.5.

BTW. This is not a question of CPU core, i have got a quad and vlc only use one by one.
