i cant view downloaded skin

hi

hope i don't sound likean idiot
but,
i can't get the skins i downloaded to show.

this is what i have done.....

i went to the skins download page

chose the skins i wanted: phoenix and aquax

opened vlc media player

went to settings, preferences, interface, main interfaces, skins,

clicked advance options

at: Skins to use" i typed in: c:\programfiles\videolan\vlc\skins\ (now at this point i typed in the new skin:) aquax.vlt

clicked save

went to the vlc media player

clicked settings, swich interface, skins2 and i keep getting the default, black skin

can somebody please tell me what i am doing wrong??

i use windows xp home edition version 2002 service pack 2

which version of VLC r u using?

Those are Skins v1

not Skins2... vlc 0.8.x supports skins2
