Getting Statistics of a stream

Hi guys,
Can anybody please tell me how to get the Stream's Statistics or advance info (like bitrate etc.) using command line or progmatically, which is done by clicking
View->Stream and Media Info->advance .

I do not think the feature is provided, I have requested in the Feature Request too but no reply yet.:(

not availble through ActiveX or mozilla, put it on my TODO list (if you find it)
