code changes to hide mouse and disable double click?

My research of this forum tells me that it is not possible to hide the mouse cursor in the activex control nor is it possible to disable the mouse double-click on the video window. So, I have acquired the source and built my own version so I can now make the appropriate code changes to accomplish the above. Can any of the developers point me in the right direction to do this? I noticed that changes I've made in the activex source don't help because the window that is really in question is the video output window -- not the activex plugin window.

I could grope around in the code for a long time but it would be nice to get a hint on where to look.
