consistent crash in both IE, Firefox

Postby alexsott2 » 13 Jul 2006 06:03

I have a web page with 2 VLC plugins (Firefox) or 2 VLC ActiveX's (IE).

In both cases page "reload" consistently crashes both browsers.

Please let me know if more info is needed to reproduce/fix this.

Thanks,
~ Alex.

Confirm this for latest svn-vlc + firefox + debian unstable for page: web.mit.edu/alecr/www/cwf/vlc-double.html. Playing both and then trying to reload crashes with seg-fault; gdb backtrace:

I am seeing the exact same behavior... Did you submit a bug report?

Thanks,
Steen

Unfortunately, I can't submit a bug ...

here is a quote from videolan support page:
When the bug has been confirmed by a developer or forum moderator, it can be entered into our Trac system by one of them. Normal users cannot add new issues.
I guess all developers and moderators went to the beach till the end of summer. :) Shall I start cursing and flaming here to draw the moderator's attention ?

I'm struggling with exactly this issue. My "Video Wall" project has been delayed because of this problem. This is a very fundamental and repeatable crash. Developers, any chance of this getting fixed soon? Thanks.

In both cases page "reload" consistently crashes both browsers.
