Since there is no Windows CE or Smartphone Forum i will try it here:
I am using VLC on a SuSE Linux Laptop and using the http protocol to stream out with asf encapsulation and DIV3 codec at 16kbps ( i know sixteen KB sounds small but stay with me.
Using the http, i am streaming to a Windows Smartphone the Motorola Q. I tried to recieve the stream with VLC PocketPC edition but on the Q I get a " menu failed to generate error.
Using the EVDO boardband network provided with verizon wireless, i am able recieve this stream with the TCPMP media player. I am getting picture with TCPMP but it constantly freezes and has a HUGE lag.
ASF is the only encapsulation method that seems to work, and DIV3 works i have not tried any other codec but has anyone else had any success in this matter.
My goal is to stream Satalite Television over the internet to my phone, anyone have any success or an way to fix VLC Pocket PC for the Q. So i can use UDP.
