Cannot Save Stream for more than 4 sec.

Postby nadz » 10 Jul 2006 11:28

Hi guys,
I have a problem with stream saving. When I try to save a live stream
most of times it saves only for first 3-4 seconds, sometimes although it
saves properly. I have tried both rstp and http.
Any help.
Cheers.

Generally, opening Messages on the client side will give you indications of the problem! :)

I do not know how can I synchronize.
30 out of 100 times it works fine but without any audio.
70 times completly failed after 3-4 sec.
Any help.

All digital video is follow audio for sync. If the cart is before the horse you just can't drive it! I would tend to believe this is a live dot com problem.

Hmm! Could also be a slow connection or a wireless connection. You could try increasing the cache size to see if it helps. But if it's a consistantly slow connection right on the border for their average resolution it won't help.

thanx for the replies,
i doing this on a LAN means the decoder is also on the same network
so do not think its a speed problem. Although if I slow the bitrate i am able to capture the video but for audio VLC gives msg
audio starving... playing silence.
Any help.
Cheers
