VLC's rtsp implementation currently doesn't work if the client is behind a NAT. That will change ...

Hi,

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if the issue of rtsp not working behind a nat has been resolved. I checked the bug fixes in the first and second betas of 0.8.5, but did not see any changes with this issue. Does anyone know?

thanks.

I, too, would like to know when rstsp will work from behind a NAT router, or how else to define vlm vod ?

Thanks

Hi.

This link http://www.videolan.org/streaming/features.html, shows that a MMSH format streaming is supported when using ASF. On this link (http://wiki.videolan.org/index.php/MMSH), the definition of MMSH is that it's a MMS over HTTP, which means it should pass firewalls and NAT's.

The question is, does it work? If yes, then it is the solution for the NAT problem (simple sout to MMSH).

Thanks.
