Advanced Output Not Visible

When you click File > Open, there's supposed to be a little checkbox that says "advanced output"

When i upgraded, it wasn't there anymore. Has it been moved? any other ideas?

If you mean the "Advanced options" check box i the lower right corner of the menu? It is still there and hasn't moved.

No, i mean in the file>open file dialog. I remember there being an "advanced output" checkbox, and it isnt there anymore =[

I have only been using VLC for a couple of years and I don't remember this in any of the versions. What version was this and what did it do or offer?

Most of the features are in Perferences.

Try this:
- check "Stream/Save" in the "Advanced options" area of the "File -> Open" panel.
- click on "Setting..."
