vlc with D-Link routers

Postby thawk » 30 Dec 2005 23:22

I have a D-link model 524 router that's not letting VLC show audio or video. I receive the playlist of channels but they scroll by slowly with the following message in the message section:

livedotcom error: PLAY failed No RTSP session is currently in progress

livedotcom error: TCP rollover failed, aborting
livedotcom warning: no data received in 10s. Switching to TCP
livedotcom debug: RTP subsession 'video/MP2T'

I'd love to know how to configure the router but nobody can give me a decent answer. Any ideas? Thanks

Did you ever resolve this?
I have somewhat the same situation with a d-link..
Thanks.

Port forwarding!

You can test initally by using the DMZ setting for the Internet.

Read the help file in the setup section.

Thanks for the quick reply -
I presume you mean 'setup file' for the d-link, eh?

Setup is accessed via a link using your browser.

I've used a Dlink (504) router with VLC fine. Not using it now as the router sucked, but thats another story!
