reading rtsp stream without vlc ?

Postby insomniak » 02 Jan 2006 16:33

Hi,

It's been 3 days I'm searching something i can't find and i'm posting here to see if you would have some tricks about it.
I want to play video stream from rtsp:// url but i don't find anything like activeX component or other that can be embbeded in my application. I'm not langage locked (VB, delphi, C#...) but even if i can code under any language, i don't find anything about that :(

I don't really know how I have to process to access such a stream.
I tried to look at the RFC but, lol, it's kinda long and complex...

Do you have something about what i'm seeking ?
All I just want to do is to play Free's ISP stream to have my freebox tv on my pc with some additional stuff that I will develop.

Thanks
BR

adding QuickTime support

Postby zipaton » 27 May 2006 18:50

Hi Insomniak, I am looking for a QuickTime solution for about the same problem as you. My first guess is that a MPEG2-TS data handler could help but I need to check more documentation before developping something usefull. Maybe we could share some notes about how to do this.
