Automatic Display Subtitle Track 1

Postby joel » 13 May 2006 17:31

Is there a way to automatic set subtitle track 1 as default? It's sucks to set it to track 1 every time that I open a movie.

I did as you said, but the subtitle isn't starting by itself. i changed subtitle track from -1 to 1, and subtitle track ID from -1 to 1 too.
It doens't work.
Another problem is that Subtitle track appears from right click on the screen only when I open VLC from the windows MENU. If I open it double clicking on a video file this option just vanishes, disappeares.
Can't sole these problems.

easily fixed, u need to set it to "0" not to "1" as the counter starts at 0 and goes forward from there.

Hi. Thank you for your answer. First, I changed the SUBTITLE TRACK and SUBTITLE TRACK ID to zero 0 in INPUT / CODECS as you said and it didn't work. Subtitle still needs to be selected manually.
Another thing that I don't understand is why I should choose zero for subtitle track, if everytime I select the subtitle manually the first subtitle always is: TRACK 1??
My VLC, I think is the last one 0.8.5
Another thing that I don't get is the following: When I open VLC from windows menu, and then play a movie, I alway can play the subtitle at least manually using right click on the screen. But the problem is, When I open VLC double clicking a video file, there is no way for me to play the subtitle. When I right click on the screen I don't get the option SUBTITLE to choose manually anymore. So, what the heck is going on? Is there two different VLC players installed together??? Why aren't they Equal for the subtitle??

If possible I also need help on this problem of file association using VLC.
