I am still getting green triangles with the 22-April build.

What info can I give to help debug?

No matter what type of file I am attempting to play, the audio I get is very faint, at first I thought there was no sound, but when I turned the sound all of the way up on my computer, amplified it with my receiver, and set the preamp to full in the equalizer in vlc, I could barely hear some sound. I have searched the forum for this and haven't found anything on this. I have an intel core duo 1.83 imac. Please let me know if there is a way to get this to work.

i still get the green triangles too regardless of settings (tried all suggested fixes so far): i have a duo mini; if the MBP isn't triangling anymore, is it an intel GMA 950 issue -- any known limitations with it? also noted that earlier post with triangle was from same source as one i have that triangles (aXXo), so perhaps some specific encoding setting they're using causes it. As with previous post, I"m happy to help; not sure how!!

Problem: If I choose "Video Device: 2" in "Preferences/Interface/Main Interface/macosx", my videos still default to my primary monitor when going in to full screen.

If I look under "Video/Video Device" while playing a video, "Video Device 2" i selected, but It's only when I click it again that "Full Screen" displays on the second monitor.

Blank screen on secondary display doesn't work. Also if using virtue with some older versions in with the blank secondary display worked doesn't show anything on full screen.

Dunno if thats a virtue issue but I think it can be on the VLC side and fixing the blank on secondary will fix it.

Just wanted to let you know that VLC works perfect for me (iMac 20'' Core Duo; ATI X1600 256MB). The only thing is that it took quite a while to start the first but when I completely quit the application and start it again it starts up really quickly ( < 1 s). Thanks for the great video player.

I also get the same Green Triangles/Lines even on the latest trunk build , but audio works well.

seems to be one videos using the mp4v codec and not on anything else. not a super big deal since I can play the videos in Quicktime and well I only have a few videos that use that codec, most i have are using avc1(h.264) or divx/xvid. But other than that minor glitch it is still one of the best video players ever.

For me vlc works fine, just had problems with video_ts and dvd. The dvd start go but after it crash. I tried it on mplayer to compare and it was working fine, but with the mplayer preference, that i don't like

Can anyone experiencing the green triangle issue paste their messages dialog ?

It's probably a rounding error when converting the video output or something. Just a bit hard to discover the cause.

For people who have the green line issue. Could you please try disabling the CPU optimizations in the VLC preferences and restart VLC?

Disable SSE, MMX etc. (not FPU). I wonder if the line is still there in this case.

This movie you are playing indeed has a width/height size that is not aligned to 16, so I'm guessing the problem is there and then in the CPU optimization routines.

Hello,

First, great work. It's working very well on my MacBookPro.

Since the 2006-05-02-0055 build, subtitles don't work. Pressing "s" shows "Subtitle: N/A". The last version that worked was 2006-04-28-0053. This was a DivX 5 .avi file with a .srt subtitle file in the same directory.

Otherwise everything that I tried played well, including DivX avi's and H264 mp4's.

my feedback

1) how to get rid of the VLC Controler when I launch VLC ? (as it is possible to control the movie in the control panel under embedded in the same window as the movie why do we need to get this controler appart ? (a disable button in the pref would be nice)

2) I have a dreambox (sat receiver) and can now watch the stream on my macbook ... unfortunately there are 2 things that dont work

a) when I change the channel it crash the VLC stream and I have to re-launch it again (and get another new video-1.m3u file on my desktop)

b) each time I launch a channel it creates a video.m3u file on my desktop

c) there is a WEB-X-TV option in the dreambox to control and watch different channels and this is not working as it asks for a VLC plugin to run

hi

been using the latest builds and all seems good but i've got a couple of suggestions/requests.

- I'm using a remote control and it'd be great to be able to toggle the aspect ratio. A keystroke that I can just program into the remote would be sweet.
- Also a button to toggle a display to show a counter for how long a video has played and how long is remaining.

there are probably more things but for now i'll leave it at that

i'm no dev so no idea if the above is tough or not!
